In front of the president of the organization, Gianni Merlo, and 26 important journalists, the mayor Joan Campolier highlights the solid institutional link that exists between the municipality and the most influential sports press association on the planet
The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) has once again elected Santa Susanna to meet its executive committee. Headed by its president, Gianni Merlo, and a management made up of 26 journalists of international prestigefrom 20 countries, the AIPS executive meets to discussissues that affect the profession at an international level. Among the attendees is the president of the Spanish Sports Press Association, Tito Irazusta.
The meeting of Santa Susanna began on Monday and will last until Thursday 24th. In the welcome, Mayor Joan Campolier highlighted the close link that exists between the AIPS and the municipality at an institutional level. The mayor recalled that as a result of this relationship, in April 2024 the AIPS held its 86th congress here, that of itscentenary. The entity was founded in Paris in 1924.
The International Sports Press Association is the largest, largest and most influential sports journalist institution on the planet, with more than 11,000 members. Its headquarters are in Lausanne (Switzerland).
