Family tourism's commitment to the marketing of quality products must allow access to new markets and new audiences
The Catalan Tourism Agency (ACT) has met on Friday 18th, in Santa Susanna, its Committee of the Military Tourism Programme. The meeting has served to study and design the strategies that allow Catalonia to bringits offer of sun and beach destinations, nature and culture to new markets and new audiences. The Executive Director of the ACT, Patrick Torrent, accompanied by the Director of the Supply Department of the new Conscious Marketing area, Bea Nubiola, chaired the meeting.
The strategy for the future involves promoting the concepts of quality and sustainability around a motto that is "(+) Catalonia, better tourism". With a view to 2027, the proposal is to focus everything, especially the marketing of the product, towards a more sustainable and resilient tourism.
The working sessions have served to confirm that there is still room for manoeuvre toreach new markets and new sectors that see that Catalonia is a good destination to rest and discover and enjoy nature and soak up culture and art.
The summit has brought together representatives of public and private companies, and the institutions that are part of the Committee: Tourist Board of the Provincial Council of Lleida, the Tourist Board of the Provincial Council of Tarragona, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat, Santa Susanna City Council, Municipal Tourist Board of Salou, Ajuntament de Sort, Rosamar Hotels, Càmping la Ballena Alegre, Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, Estació Nàutica la Ràpita-Delta de l'Ebre, Pura Vall and Port Aventura.
At the beginning of the meeting, the mayor of Santa Susanna, Joan Campolier, welcomed the attendees.
The ACT has chosen Santa Susanna to hold the meeting because it is a reference model within family tourism in Catalonia.
