Santa Susanna reinforces its commitment to tourism innovation at the DTI Network summit held in Vitoria-Gasteiz

The VIII Meeting brought together 180 managers and 130 tourist destinations who discussed current challenges, especially sustainability and the adoption of strategic decisions based on real data

The City Council of Santa Susanna has participated in the VIII Meeting of Managers of the Network of Smart Tourist Destinations (DTI), which has been held inVitó ria-Gasteiz. The meeting brought together more than 180 managers from 130 tourist destinations throughout Spain.

Under the slogan "People who make destinations. The intelligence that transforms tourism", this eighth edition has focused on reflecting on the current and future challenges of the Smart Tourist Destinations model, with special attention to sustainability, public innovation and tourism intelligence. The event has served to share knowledge, good practices and tools that contribute to the transformation and improvement of tourism management in the territories.

The meeting is organized by the Secretary of State for Tourism, through SEGITTUR, and has the collaboration of the City Council ofVitòria-Gasteiz and the Provincial Council of Álava.

Santa Susanna's participation in this congress reinforces the municipality's commitment to the DTI model, a commitment to innovative, sustainable management aimed at improving both the visitor experience and the well-being of citizens. Marc Juanola, Tourism technician of the Santa Susanna City Council, has represented the town at this meeting.Juanola has participated in the different work sessions and exchange of experiences planned in the program.

Last year, the Meeting of Managers of the DTI Network was held in Santa Susanna. It was the first time that a destination in Catalonia hosted this event.In fact, it was not a coincidence. The selection of Santa Susanna to host the meeting represented the sector's recognition of the municipality's trajectory in the field of tourism innovation and the development of the Smart Tourist Destination model.
