Santa Susanna participated this past week in the trade mission to the United Kingdom organized by the Catalan Tourism Agency, which is part of the Generalitat, aimed at members of the Family Tourism program of destinations accredited with the Catalonia seal, HOLA família!.
The promotional action, held from 6 to 8 May, included two days of presentation and workshop in the cities of Bristol and Newcastle (England), coinciding with the new commercial air connections between the United Kingdom and Catalonia. This initiative has aimed to strengthen the presence of Catalan family destinations in the British market and generate new commercial opportunities.
Santa Susanna, as a benchmark destination in family tourism, has had the opportunity to present its tourism offer in front of more than twenty specialized travel agents and representatives of the airports of the two cities. During the work sessions, the participants have been able to hold individualized meetings with the attending professionals, favoring a direct and personalized contact to publicize the attractions and services that the municipality offers to families.
On 9 and 10 October, an international promotion action of the same characteristics was also taken in Edinburgh (Scotland). Participation in these trade missions is part of Santa Susanna's international promotion strategy to consolidate and expand its presence in strategic markets such as the UK, one of the main sources of family tourism to the destination.
