Of the 12 establishments in the hospitality sector in the town inspected, 100% correctly separate glass, cardboard and used cooking oil and only one has limitations in the correct separation of the organic fraction

Santa Susanna has revalidated the Ecovidrio Green Flag as one of the municipalities in Catalonia most committed to the recycling of glass containers and the circular economy. Compared to last year, the municipality has climbed one position in the ranking of towns that recycle best and has been placed in third position on the podium, with Torroella de Montgrí, in first position, and Castelldefels, in second.

This is the result of the work, effort and capacity for initiative of the City Council and the hospitality establishments of the town that go to one in this initiative. In this sixth edition of the Ecovidrio Green Flags Movement, 12 establishments in Santa Susanna have participated: Ma Brasa restaurant, Rivolto, Hotel Santa Susanna Resort, The drunken duck, Pepe Pollo, King's Grand Cafe, Indalo Lua Restaurant, Nexus, Kalima Beach Club, La Pergola, Boulevard Don Ángel and Jeromeke bar.

According to the inspections of Ecovidrio technicians, all the establishments visited (12) correctly separate glass, cardboard and used cooking oil; 11 correctly separate the organic fraction and 10 light packaging.

The six municipalities in Catalonia best placed in the glass recycling ranking of the Ecovidrio Green Flags campaign are: Torroella de Montgrí (2,058 points), Castelldefels (1,524), Santa Susanna (1,425), Calella (1,146), Canet de Mar (1,013) and Vandellòs and L'Hospitalet de l'Infant (909). Calella and Canet de Mar have won the Green Flag this year for the first time.
