The town of Maresme will debut as the venue Volta per la porta gran hosting the first stage of the women's race.

Once the dates of the 3rd edition of the race, which will be held from June 19 to 21, 2026, have been confirmed, we know what the Grand Departure of the Tour will be. The municipality of Santa Susanna will host the start and finish of the first stage of the test, included in the UCI 2.1 category that is consolidated within the international calendar thanks to the successes of past editions. The Volta Ciclista Catalunya is immersed in the preparations for what will be the third edition of the women's event. An edition that will focus world cycling interest between June 19 and 21, since the best teams and cyclists in the world will meet in our territory to face the three stages of the Catalan test. The first stage will start from the municipality of Santa Susanna, in the Maresme, an unprecedented town in the history of the Volta that will inscribe its name in the Book of Honour of the Volta as the start and finish venue of the first stage.

In previous editions we have been able to enjoy the talent of riders of the stature of Marianne Vos, a legend of women's cycling, who scored the victory of the first edition of the race, while just a few months ago, the winner of the second edition was Demi Vollering, the Dutchwoman crowned European champion just a few weeks ago.
