The Spartan Race brings 10,000 people to Santa Susanna who fill streets, shops and hotels

The most renowned obstacle course in the world turns the town into a meeting point for athletes and families from 40 countries and a solidarity loudspeaker for the Nexe Foundation, which works with children with disabilities

The Spartan Race 2025 has filled the streets, commercial establishments, restaurants and hotels of Santa Susanna during the weekend of October 18 and 19. Some 10,000 people (athletes, family members and companions) from 40 countries have been able to enjoy the most renowned obstacle course in the world. It is a race that tests the physical and mental strength of athletes.

The number of registered athletes has approached 5,000. Among the runners were experienced athletes, with a long career in races linked to the Spartan Race, but also women and men who wanted to experience the limit of their endurance.

The three groups of tests that have been carried out are:

  • Sprint: 5 km and 20 obstacles.
  • Super: 10 km and 25 obstacles.
  • Beast: 21 km and 30 obstacles.

 

Solidarity space

Among the participants of the Spartan Race 2025 was the territorial delegate of the Government of the Generalitat in Barcelona, Pilar Díaz Romero. She has participated in the Sprint charity race, sponsored by the Nexe Foundation and which works with children with disabilities within the Daniel Project. Part of the proceeds from the Spartan Race 2025 go to the Nexe Foundation.
