Santa Susanna will bring together 5,000 athletes from 40 countries in the Spartan Race, the most renowned obstacle course in the world

Part of the proceeds from the test that will be held on October 18 and 19 will go to the "Daniel Project" of the Nexe Foundation, which works with children with multiple disabilities and supports their families

The most recognized obstacle course in the world, the Spartan Race, will be held on October 18 and 19 in Santa Susanna. Around 5,000 athletes from 40 countries (Catalonia, Spain, France, Italy, Great Britain, etc.) will compete in the three types of tests that will test their physical and mental endurance. Although traditionally male participation in this event has been the majority, in 2025 the presence of women is expected to reach 30%.

The three events in which the 5,000 athletes will compete are:

  • Sprint: 5 km and 20 obstacles, ideal for beginners and groups. It will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Super: 10 km and 25 obstacles, an intermediate challenge for those looking for greater demand. It will be played on Sunday.
  • Beast: 21 km and 30 obstacles. It is the toughest test, designed for experienced athletes. It will be held on Saturday.

In addition, the little ones will have, late on Saturday, their space with the Kids Race, aimed at boys and girls from 4 to 14 years old, with routes adapted to each age group.

The Santa Susanna event will be the fourth stop of the Spain National Series 2025, a circuit that runs through Mallorca, Madrid, Encamp (Andorra), Barcelona and Tenerife.

Social work

One of the legs of the Spartan Race project is its social commitment. The race collaborates with the "Daniel Project" of the Nexe Foundation, which works in the care of children with multiple disabilities and offers support to their families. Part of the proceeds from the Spartan Race 2025 will go to the Nexe Foundation.
