The Santa Susanna City Council has held a meeting with representatives of the hotel sector and tourism activity companies in the municipality with the aim of sharing ongoing projects and reinforcing the common tourism strategy based on sustainability and technological transition.
During the meeting, which was attended by the mayor Joan Campolier and the Councilor for Tourism Sílvia Vives, the main lines of action that the municipality is promoting in tourism were exposed, with special emphasis on the digitization of services, tourism innovation and the promotion of responsible and environmentally friendly tourism.
The City Council has highlighted the importance of moving forward together with the business fabric in order to guarantee the success of a tourism model that responds to the new challenges of the sector and the demands of visitors. Specific initiatives have also been presented, such as the implementation of the Tourism Marketing Plan and the deployment of the new Santa Susanna brand; the Tourism Intelligence System; the new Tourism website; and the exhibition of the Santa Susanna Tourism Sustainability Plan.
The business representatives have valued the meeting very positively and have expressed their willingness to continue actively collaborating with the City Council to consolidate Santa Susanna as a benchmark destination in tourism innovation and sustainability in the region and on the entire Barcelona Coast.
This meeting is part of the municipality's firm commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the guidelines set by the Smart Tourist Destination (DTI) strategy.
