It will be on April 3 in the Auditorium of the Santa Susanna Civic Center and will deal with 'Circular Change: a journey between the circular economy and climate change to strengthen tourism competitiveness.'
This II Conference on Communication and Advice on Sustainability in Santa Susanna, aims to raise awareness and train actors in the tourism sector on the interrelationship between the circular economy and climate change, offering tools and practical cases for the transition to a more sustainable and regenerative model. We will explore how the implementation of circular principles – such as reducing waste, designing sustainable products and services, and valuing local resources – can contribute to the decarbonization of tourism and strengthen the resilience of destinations.
Through this space for dissemination, learning and debate, we seek to promote an innovative vision that allows companies, administrations and tourism professionals to integrate the circular economy as a fundamental pillar in the fight against climate change, thus guaranteeing the sustainability and competitiveness of the sector in the long term.
The circular economy is a transformative model that seeks to break with the traditional linear paradigm of extract, manufacture and reject, and instead proposes a system in which resources are kept in use for as long as possible and, at the end of their useful life, are safely reintegrated into the environment.
The conference will feature experts from the sector, success stories and discussion tables that will show how to activate circular change from design, from waste disposal and from the regeneration of natural systems.
