The first edition of the Mar d'Estiu festival that has been held in the Torrentó de Can Gelat in Santa Susanna becomes a success

Almost 29,000 spectators have passed through the venue, which has received praise from the audience for the ease of access to the concert space and the convenience of the car park.

The first edition of the Mar d'Estiu festival closes with a completely positive balance in terms of the number of spectators. During the two weeks that the festival has lasted, more than 28,700 people have passed through the spectacular venue located on the esplanade of the Torrentó de Can Gelat de Santa Susanna. It has also been a success and has received praise from the attendees, the ease of access to the festival site, located a few meters from the N-II road, and the convenience when parking.

From 3 to 18 August, the Mar d'Estiu festival has brought to the Maresme a balanced combination of established and emerging artists with the aim of offering a diverse, rich and plural range capable of reaching different audiences. Established names such as Sergio Dalma, Sopa de Cabra, Malú, Rozalén, Los Secretos or Luz Casal have shared the bill with powerful groups such as God Save The Queen and with artists such as Ojete Calor, Antoñito Molina, Juan Magán, Ara Malikian or Mushkaa and The Tyets. Precisely, the latter two, Mushkaa and The Tyets, have been the ones that have brought the most audience to Mar d'Estiu, followed by Juan Magan and God Save The Queen.

The 12 concerts on the imposing central stage of the Mar d'Estiu have had their replica with the 12 small-format performances that have been held in the Village space. Artists and groups such as Núria Duran, Colet, Lidia Mora & Ruselito, Júlia Blum, Aina Reig, Ayryn, Kuu, Eva Fort, Dianka, Lydia Torrejon, Sara Aldana and Juls have paraded there, crying out to have their own space.

This is the commitment of the City Councils of Santa Susanna, Pineda de Mar and The Project to consolidate a powerful and ambitious festival that ends up becoming a reference in summer culture and music for the quality of its performances and because it is committed to giving emerging artists an opportunity.

Ensuring the rest of the neighbours

One of the main concerns of the Santa Susanna City Council has been to make the music festival reconcilable with the rest of the residents of the area. Mayor Joan Campolier promised to put an end to the music of the venue at 12 o'clock at night and so it has been. In this way, it has been possible to minimize the impact and noise pollution on the neighbors as much as possible. The organisers have also exhaustively checked that the acoustic impact did not exceed the parameters set by the Generalitat at any time.
